As we stress safety throughout all aspects at Layritz, we require all coaches to get annual criminal record checks. All managers, coaches, and directors are required to complete criminal records checks. If you have not submitted one yet, please do so immediately. BC Minor Baseball requires a CRC minimally every 12 months (see below). Coaches who require a CRC due to stale dating, or who are new to RCBA, will be advised of the requirement to take a CRC.

Select "Request a New Criminal Record Check"
Complete the Criminal record check.
To Submit an online request for a criminal record check, you must:
Be at least 12 years of age as of today's date.
Have your identity verified through the Electronic Identity Verification (EIV) process.
Please Note: Not all individuals will be able to use the EIV process and may be required to submit the request for a criminal record check through the manual paper process.
To use the EIV:
Individuals must have a minimum Canadian credit history of at least six months.
Individuals must have been residing in Canada for two years or longer.
Individuals must correctly answer a set of security questions unique to their personal credit history.
Must have a current Canadian address. (Please do not enter a foreign address through the on-line service)
BC Minor Baseball RuleBook - Section 1.09 Risk Management Each Association must establish a Risk Management process to comply with the following: Every volunteer, coach, employee and/or contractor, who at any time could be expected to have direct contact with any minor aged person, must have on file with their Association, the results of a Criminal Record Check (CRC) completed within the previous twelve (12) months from an agency approved by B.C.M.B.A. Compliance with this rule is the responsibility of each local Association. Note: This rule does not apply to umpires.
